Innovation & Collaboration!

We are learning about Patsy Takemoto Mink this month. She is an inspiration to us all because of her determination to bring equality and access to all people. Patsy Takemoto Mink was the first woman of color to be elected to Congress. She collaborated with others to create Title IX, which is an important law that ensures all genders should be treated equally in education and sports.

2025-2026 Enrollment

Do you or someone you know have a student that is or will be 4 years old before September 2, 2025?

Then, it is time to enroll them in school for next school year. We are pleased that the state of California has continued to expand the age eligibility of the Transitional Kindergarten program for next year to include more students. Enrollment for students starting school in Milpitas during the 2025-2026 school year begins on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Students are placed in classes at Weller based on space availability when the enrollment process is completed, so do not delay!

Age Requirements for the 2025 - 2026 School Year

TK: 4 years old between 9/2/24 - 9/1/25 (born 9/2/2020 - 9/1/2021)

Kindergarten: 5 years old by 9/1/2025 (born 9/2/2019 - 9/1/2020)

1st Grade: 6 years old by 9/1/2025 (born 9/2/2018 - 9/1/2019)

Grades 2-6 - Placed according to current placement in an accredited US school or by birthdate if not currently enrolled in a US school.

The steps for enrollment are:

1) Go To: https://enroll.musd.org to enroll

2) Gather all required documents

3) Bring the required documents to the school office

Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

CURRENT STUDENTS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO RE-ENROLL FOR NEXT YEAR - IF YOUR STUDENT HAS MOVED OR WILL NOT BE ATTENDING WELLER NEXT SCHOOL YEAR PLEASE LET THE OFFICE KNOW SO WE CAN PLAN ACCORDINGLY.
